Game Rules
Last updated: September 28, 2026
These Game Rules spell out the obligations from our Terms & Conditions (section 4, “User obligations”) and apply to all HashEmpire players — on the website, in the game itself, and in all related channels (e.g. support contact).
1. One account per person
- Each person may only hold one game account. Deliberately creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits (e.g. collecting the daily HashCoin bonus more than once, abusing the referral program with your own alt accounts, or multiplying purchase/contract limits such as the maximum of 3 BTC purchases or 1 energy contract per hour) is prohibited.
- Login credentials are personal and confidential. Accounts may not be shared, sold, rented, or traded.
- If the same account logs in on a new device, the previous session is automatically ended (“latest login wins”) — this is normal behavior, not a bug.
2. Fair play — what’s not allowed
In particular, the following are prohibited:
- Bots, macros, automation scripts, or any other automated control of the game in place of genuine, manual input.
- Exploiting bugs for your own advantage instead of reporting them via Contact. Reporting a bug helps everyone; exploiting it risks a suspension and losing whatever you gained from it.
- Manipulating client-server communication, such as altering, intercepting, or forging requests to the server, memory editing, or patching the game client.
- Changing your device’s system clock to gain an advantage. This doesn’t actually work — price, market events, and difficulty are calculated exclusively from server time — but attempting it with that intent is still a rule violation.
- Unauthorized access to other players’ accounts, our servers, or our databases.
Since all economically relevant values (balances, hashrate, yields, prices, attack outcomes) are calculated with full server authority, most of these attempts have no effect anyway — we still treat them as a rule violation the moment they’re attempted.
3. Naming
Your player name, and the name of any mining pool you create, must not:
- be insulting, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful,
- infringe on third-party trademark or name rights,
- impersonate our team, administrators, or official HashEmpire channels, or create the impression of official communication,
- be used to deliberately deceive other players.
Violations may lead to your name being changed by our team, or to an account suspension, without prior warning.
4. HashCoins, payments, and trading
- HashCoins can only be obtained through the daily bonus or the official purchase path via Ko-fi (see Terms section 6 and our Right of Withdrawal notice).
- Trading, selling, or exchanging accounts, HashCoins, or other in-game assets outside the game for real money or other consideration is prohibited.
- Chargeback abuse: reversing a Ko-fi payment after the corresponding HashCoins have already been credited risks losing those HashCoins and an account suspension.
- Deliberately attempting to bypass or manipulate payment checks or the matching of Ko-fi payments is prohibited.
5. Fair play in PvP
- Attacking and defending only happen through the systems built into the game (scan, attack, firewalls). Trying to influence the outcome of a fight through any other means is not allowed.
- Coordinated “farming” of PvP rating between your own alt accounts, or with other players, to artificially inflate the leaderboard or league standing is prohibited.
- Exploiting another player technically (e.g. via a bug rather than regular game mechanics) is simultaneously a violation of section 2.
6. Reporting bugs and violations
Found a bug, or noticed someone breaking these rules? Report it via our Contact page instead of exploiting it yourself or spreading it publicly. All reports are handled confidentially.
7. Consequences of violations
Depending on the severity of a violation, we may:
- issue a warning,
- restrict individual features,
- correct or remove unlawfully obtained values (balance, hashrate, HashCoins, PvP rating),
- temporarily suspend an account (suspended accounts can no longer perform economically relevant actions), or
- permanently delete an account.
For details on the legal consequences (including forfeiture of HashCoins upon a confirmed violation), see our Terms & Conditions, section 5.
8. Changes to these Game Rules
We may update these Game Rules, for example when new game features require new rules. The version published on this page at the time of your visit applies.
