Diagnostic Minigame: Maintenance & Repair
Maintenance and repair consist of a short diagnostic minigame. Before your worker can start the job, you first need to figure out which components are affected.
1. Start diagnostics Starting diagnostics costs a non-refundable fee. Which components are affected is determined individually for each service. Wear and high temperatures can increase the number of affected components.
2. Find the components Find all the affected components and mark them. Your selection must be complete and correct. An incorrect or incomplete selection results in failure, and the diagnostic fee is lost.
3. Start the service Once diagnostics succeed, the actual price for maintenance or repair is shown. A worker then takes over the job. The miner remains offline in the meantime.
4. Complete the service Once the required time has passed (or you cut it short with HashCoins in the Premium Shop), the effects of the maintenance or repair take effect. The miner remains offline afterward and must be manually restarted.
Costs depend on the specific miner and its current wear. The more worn a miner is, the higher the costs can be. Only the share for the components actually affected is charged.
A diagnostic session you’ve started stays available for a short time. If you close the window and come back later, you can continue the same diagnostic session as long as it’s still active.
Installation Minigame
The first time you install a miner, you need to wire it up correctly.
1. Start installation Starting the installation costs a fee.
2. Connect the cables Three cables need to be matched to the correct ports. The mapping is randomly generated, and you have two minutes to complete it.
3. Complete installation If the wiring is correct, the miner becomes ready and can start mining. If you make a mistake or run out of time, the installation fee is lost.
Installations you’ve already started are saved, so an accidental duplicate submission won’t be charged a second fee.
